I wanted to enjoy the mundane, the beauty of God's simplest creations. I grabbed my camera and began taking pictures of things in my garden that I could paint in my own style.

I love using these miniature art pieces to explore different color combinations and practice different styles and textures. A lot of my miniature art is painted or drawn on recycled material like cardboard that would have otherwise been thrown away. It's my way to turn rags into riches.
